Once upon a time, in a cozy little town, there lived a curious boy named Timmy. Timmy loved exploring and going on adventures, especially in the big, beautiful forest near his house. His parents always reminded him, “Timmy, stay on the path when you’re in the forest and come home before dark.”
One sunny morning, Timmy decided to go exploring. As he reached the forest, he saw a lovely path winding through the trees, just as his parents had told him about. He walked along, listening to the birds sing and watching squirrels scurry by. Everything was peaceful, and Timmy felt very safe.
After a while, Timmy noticed a sparkling, mysterious trail leading off the main path. “I wonder where this goes?” he thought. He wanted to see, but then remembered his parents’ advice to stay on the path.
But the sparkling trail looked so magical, Timmy just couldn’t resist. He took a few steps onto the new trail, and suddenly, everything around him changed! Strange trees grew thick and tall, blocking the sunlight. The birds stopped singing, and a chill filled the air. Timmy started to feel scared.
“Oh no,” he thought. “I should’ve stayed on the main path.”
Just as he was about to turn back, a gentle voice spoke from behind him. Timmy turned and saw an owl with wise, golden eyes. “Why are you here, little one?” the owl asked.
Timmy hung his head. “I didn’t listen to my parents. I thought I could explore on my own.”
The wise owl nodded. “Sometimes we don’t see dangers until it’s too late. But being obedient helps keep us safe, even from things we don’t expect.” The owl flapped its wings, creating a gust of wind that pointed back toward the main path. “Follow the wind, and you’ll be safe.”
Timmy followed the owl’s advice, hurrying back to the main path. He felt safe again, and he was happy to hear the birds singing once more. He made it home just before sunset, and his parents hugged him, glad to see him safe.
From that day on, Timmy listened carefully and stayed obedient. He still had fun on his adventures, but he knew that being obedient wasn’t just about rules—it was about staying safe and happy.
And every time he saw the wise owl in the forest, he gave it a wave, grateful for the lesson he had learned.
