Deepika Padukone continues to captivate, now as the face of Cartier’s latest high jewellery collection, Nature Sauvage, amidst the excitement of her impending motherhood with actor Ranveer Singh. This collection, artfully crafted by Cartier, draws inspiration from the natural world, blending the figurative with the abstract in a spectacular display of creativity and craftsmanship.

Jacqueline Karachi, Cartier’s director of high jewellery creation, describes the collection as expressive, reflecting the vitality and personality of animals through intricate designs. Each piece in Nature Sauvage combines graphic elements, voluminous forms, and optical illusions to create an enchanting visual narrative within an imaginary landscape.

The collection debuts with 87 novelties, featuring standout pieces that reimagine animal forms with Cartier’s renowned savoir faire. The Koaga necklace, inspired by the zebra, dazzles with brilliant-cut and emerald-cut white diamonds, contrasting with onyx in a striking graphic pattern. White gold openwork adds delicacy, while a pear-shaped rubellite weighing 6.25 carats completes the composition.

Among the highlights is the Panthère Jaillissante hand jewel, where Cartier’s iconic panther motif transforms into an articulated bracelet and ring. Crafted from white gold and adorned with diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and onyx, this piece features an 8.63-carat Zambian emerald, guarded by the feline’s extended paw.

Reptilian motifs shine in the Mochelys necklace, where a rose gold turtle clutches a 71.9-carat rubellite, and in the Amphista necklace, depicting twin snakes adorned with Colombian emeralds totaling 14.72 carats.

The Celestun necklace, inspired by the pink flamingo, evokes elegance with emerald baguettes and a 38.5-carat aquamarine, set against a backdrop of stylized foliage.

Additional standout pieces include the Alae necklace, blending the outline of a beetle with Art Deco influences, and the Panthère des Glaces necklace, featuring a panther traversing a frozen landscape. The Tatsu necklace showcases an ouroboros styled as an East Asian dragon, while the Scutellia ring interprets a crocodile’s scales with diamonds and white gold.
