"Kami, let's talk," Tayo said.

"We will do that later. I have to finish this up," Kami replied.

"I know. Guess what? Later, you will say, 'I'm tired.' Next, you'll say, 'I'm running late.' Further, when will we ever have this conversation?"

Tayo never expected Kami's response. "I will not listen to the rubbish you want to spew. I don't care. You can go ahead and do whatever you want."

Tayo asked, "Then what is the status of our relationship?"

Kami shrugged. "I don't know either. Look, I have a lot on my plate, and you will not drag me down. What were you expecting? That I cry myself to beg you to stay or fight your sluts? No way. It can never be me."

Josh, Tayo's friend, was concerned. "Josh, I'm scared. My wife is not reacting at all. She's not responding at all. She refuses to talk about it."

Josh asked, "What do you want her to do? Let her tell you off, reign insults on you, fight you? That's what normal women do. She's just getting over it, guy. Just give her time. She will react. Maybe she's still processing how she wants to handle it."

Three months passed, and Josh's words still lingered in Tayo's mind. Tayo returned home in the evening, and his wife, Kami, was sitting in the dining room, pressing her phone.

"Hey, babe. Come have a sit. I'm ready to talk," Kami said, her voice calm.

Tayo sat opposite his wife, wondering what she had to say. Does she want a divorce? What will she say?

Kami began, "We have no issues anymore, babe. Life goes on. Forget anything that happened because we are even."

Tayo was confused. "What do you mean we are even?"

Kami took a sip of wine from the table. "You cheated on me with a cheap whore on my bed in my house. So, I had a less severe payback. I drove to a hotel, ordered an escort, not as cheap as yours, paid 500 thousand from our joint account to the escort company, paid for the hotel, bought the most expensive champagne for him, then went straight to the bed."

Tayo's eyes widened in shock. "Kami, what did you do?"

Kami's voice was calm. "I took off my panties, lay down on the bed, and allowed him to pleasure me more than you ever did. He touched every inch of my skin, and I screamed pleasure. So, my dear husband, in simple language, I had sex with an escort, and now we are equal."

Tayo held his chest, his breath fading. Kami stood up and watched him, then dialed Josh's number.

"Josh, come take your friend to the hospital. He's having a seizure, and I will not be the one to go through that stress because I didn't stress him when I caught him cheating. Okay?"

Kami walked past Tayo to her room, leaving him stunned and heartbroken.

At the hospital, Kami walked in with a food carrier. "Hello, husband. Hope you're good."

Josh sat by the bedside, looking at both of them. "Kami, how can you do this to us?"

Kami replied, "Shhh, don't talk too much. We have ample time to talk. Just heal."

Josh asked, "Do you want me to feed your friend for a moment to rebound?"

Kami walked out, wearing high heels.

Tayo asked Josh, "What's going on with my wife?"

Josh replied, "She cheated on you."

Tayo explained, "When? How?"

Kami had caught Tayo cheating, and instead of forgiving him, she chose to cheat as well.

Josh asked, "Really? Are you okay, my friend?"

Tayo replied, "My wife cheated intentionally, and you say we're even? What do you want me to say? Divorce her? Break up? What?"

Josh suggested, "I think it's time to let go of everything and move on. Forgive each other and get past this stage."

Tayo was discharged from the hospital and returned home. "Kami, you almost killed me."

Kami smiled. "I know, my husband. And I'm glad you didn't die."
