Catherine, Princess of Wales, has been seen in public for the first time since announcing earlier this month that she has finished her cancer treatment.
Kate Middleton was photographed in a car on her way to church in Balmoral, Scotland, next to her husband, the future king, Prince William. She looked well in the photos and like her health is improving, NBC News royal contributor Katie Nicholl said.
Catherine has stayed largely out of the cameras and the public eye amid her cancer battle.
Kate was seen just a few days after it was reported that she's slowly returning to work, attending a private meeting at Windsor Castle on early years education in the U.K, according to the Times London.
She had announced in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing a planned abdominal surgery. The palace has not shared what kind of cancer. She was treated with preventive chemotherapy, which she recently finished, according to a September post on the Prince and Princess of Wales' social media.
"As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment," she shared in a message on X. She also added that her new priority is maintaining her health and staying “cancer free.”
She also added that “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
The princess assured viewers in the video that she is “well and getting stronger every day.” She also asked for “time, space and privacy” as she undergoes treatment and said she is focused on making a “full recovery.”
