The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has emphasised the importance of sharing feasts, extending acts of charity, and fostering mutual tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.
The Governor made the call while conveying his earnest felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah in Anambra State and all over Nigeria on the festive occasion of Eid el Kabir.
In his goodwill message, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, on Wednesday, Soludo reflected that Sallah festival universally holds profound significance, reminding one of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, and untiring commitment to divine will and the common good of humanity.
He urged all Muslim faithful to leverage the spiritual essence of this period to offer prayers for enduring peace, unity, and accelerated progress in our nation.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents of Anambra State, and to creating an environment where every citizen can celebrate in peace in this season and beyond.
