The Lunar Letdown

I waited with bated breath for the longest blood moon 🌝 since 2022, expected to last for 80 minutes.

rescheduling dinner and cancelling plans. By 6:30 PM, I was outside, with my eyes fixed on the sky.

As the sky got cloudy and the night grew cold, I wondered if I had missed the spectacle.

Meanwhile, others posted stunning photos of the red moon from their locations. "Could there be more than one moon?" I thought.

Determined to catch a glimpse, I climbed a nearby hill, trudging all the way up

only to be drenched by sudden rain. I ran back down, almost falling twice. The night ended in disappointment: soaked, bruised, and moonless.

Yet, when the eclipse is set to reappear, I'll be outside again, hoping to witness the celestial wonder. Perhaps I'll learn to temper my expectations, but for now, the allure of the moon remains irresistible 🌕.
