Life feels like it will always continue until loss reminds you that it wonโt.
Losing someone changes the way you see everything. It makes you realize that time is not promised and that the little things we ignore are actually the things that matter the most. We get so comfortable with the idea of tomorrow that we forget today is already a gift.
Sometimes we delay checking on people, forgiving, or expressing how much we care because we believe there will always be another chance. We assume there will be more conversations, more laughter, and more time to fix misunderstandings. But loss teaches you that life doesnโt always give warnings, and another chance is not always guaranteed.
The pain of losing someone is deep, but it also opens your eyes in a quiet way. You begin to appreciate ordinary moments, small conversations, random laughter, and the simple presence of people who make life feel lighter. You start to understand that people are not permanent fixtures in your life โ they are blessings given for a season, leaving behind memories that stay longer than their presence.
I am learning that life is not really about how long we live, but about the love we give, the kindness we show, and the impact we leave in the hearts of others.
So I am choosing to live more intentionally, love more freely, forgive faster, and stop postponing what truly matters, because in the end, memories and love are what remain.
