COMING OUT OF MY SHELL - 5 hours ago

I’m that one girl who doesn’t like stress. I prefer staying in my shell. I create excuses to remain there, and if I’m being honest, past experiences shaped me into that person. But staying in my shell has cost me a lot — experiences, memories, fun, and opportunities. Toward the end of 2025, I made up my mind to come fully out of that shell. In the past, I would step out a little, test the waters, and quickly run back in. But this time, I was ready. Ready to explore. Ready to make memories. Ready for adventures. Ready to learn while having fun.

I knew this journey had to begin somewhere completely different — somewhere far from my comfort zone. I prayed about it, and God gave me the opportunity to step out. I went in thinking everything would be smooth and go exactly the way I planned. But life doesn’t work that way. I experienced the unexpected. Things didn’t always go my way. And honestly? I’m glad they didn’t. Growth rarely happens in perfect conditions.

Not too long ago, I took one of the biggest steps in facing my fears — I decided to contest in a pageant. At first, I was excited. Then fear and doubt crept in. I almost backed out. But God surrounded me with the most amazing people who kept cheering me on. Their belief in me became louder than my fear. And I went for it. Imagine me — walking confidently and receiving the loudest cheers from the crowd. Dancing in front of people and actually enjoying myself. In that moment, my fears faded. I wasn’t the girl hiding in her shell anymore. I’m so glad I took that leap. I’m so grateful for the support. I’m proud of myself. And I’m not stopping here. I’m still open to trying new things. Still exploring my creative side. Still choosing bravery over comfort.

So here’s a message from me to you: Take that step of faith — whether it’s a baby step or a giant leap. You’ll be glad you did. The outcome may not always be what you expected. But one thing is certain: "The memories you create by saying yes to adventure will always outlive the comfort of staying home."
