We’re about to start working on our new film, and I’m going to be part of the editing crew. Even though we haven't started yet, I’m already thinking about what it’s going to be like once I get all that footage. It’s cool, but I know it’s going to be a lot of work.
Since we’re shooting on phones, I know there are going to be some problems. One big thing is just the massive pile of clips I'll have to deal with. When you use a phone, people tend to just record everything, so I’m expecting way too many videos to sort through. I’m also worried about the storage space and the files maybe being messy or glitchy.
To make sure I don't lose my mind, I’m going to stay on top of things from the start. My plan is to be super organized with my folders so I don’t spend hours looking for one shot. I also want to check the clips as they come in. That way, if something looks bad or the sound is messed up, I can tell the team right away instead of finding out when it's too late. I’m also making sure I have enough space on my computer so nothing crashes.
I’m actually looking forward to the editing part. It’s pretty cool that I get to be the one to put everything together and make it look like a real story. It’ll probably take a lot of late nights staring at my screen, but it’s going to be worth it when the whole thing is finished!
Can’t wait to see what we get on camera!
