Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller, a two-time Super Bowl champion, has been suspended without pay for four games due to a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy.
The decision follows an investigation into allegations of domestic violence made against Miller, who turned himself in to Dallas police last November. Despite maintaining his innocence and denying the "100% false" accusations, Miller faced a league-imposed penalty.
No charges were filed against Miller, and he was allowed to participate in team activities during the investigation. Miller had considered the matter closed since July's training camp.
The eight-time Pro Bowler will miss games against select opponents, starting immediately, but will be eligible to rejoin the team on October 28, following the Bills' Week 8 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Miller has recorded three sacks this season.
Miller's suspension underscores the NFL's commitment to enforcing its personal conduct policy, ensuring player accountability, and prioritizing the well-being of all individuals involved.
