This just basically My review and Pov of the movie.

It's understandable if you contrast with something's here but it's basically just my POV so let's get to it 

“The film follows Zainab (played by Uzoamaka Aniunoh), a young Igbo-Hausa woman who converted to Islam for love and married into a conservative Muslim family in Northern Nigeria”. 

I personally really liked this pitch and background of the character the producers used here because they really really contrast with eachother, it's really not a new thing and it's also generally known that the Hausas and Igbos of Nigeria detest themselves to some level, it's not really hate or anything ( all though in the past it was ), but they just don't flow with eachother and they just aren't compatible when it comes to Marriages and thata just it . SO definitely this main character is just bound to have issues in the marriage.

I think this incompatibility began when the Reputable political leaders of the North were disregarded by the east in the Early 19's , and the the North returned the favour and it blew into some big fuzz between the both sides .

After the Death of her husband (Quasim ) who just suddenly dies, things take a down hill , but as the strong character she is, she deserts her mourning period to handle her husband left behind business ( which was already in dept before his passing )

Things does take uphill with an unexpected friendship with Rayyan (Caleb Richards), a gentle bank officer who slowly becomes her emotional support.

He's constant support and encouragement grew belief in her as she grew her strength, stabled her husbands left behind business and even went further to chase her on dream of Fashion designing . Truly magnificent, her strength and resilience must be acknowledged .

This film layered with the difficult  Nigerian life stuff: grief, cultural identity, widowhood rules, family tension, and that core idea that “with difficulty comes ease.” 

A remarkable film choice 👍🏾
