When our lecturer announced that we would be producing a film this semester, I felt a spark of excitement. Even though we are still in the preparation stage, I already see this project as an important step in my journey. I chose to be an actress in the film because I believe acting will help me understand storytelling from the inside.
As we prepare, I spend time thinking about the role I will play and what it means to be in front of the camera. I imagine myself rehearsing lines, taking instructions from the director, and working with other crew members. Although I have not acted in a film before, I am willing to learn. I feel nervous sometimes, especially when I think about performing in front of people, but I also feel excited about the experience ahead.
I already foresee some challenges. Camera shyness, memorizing lines, and managing my time between rehearsals and lectures are things I know I will face. Instead of allowing these challenges to discourage me, I see them as lessons. I plan to practice early, ask questions when I do not understand something, and stay open to corrections. I believe that preparation and confidence will help me overcome any difficulty.
This film project means more to me than just acting. When I graduate, I intend to become a movie producer. By choosing to act now, I am learning how actors feel on set, how scenes are created, and how teamwork makes a film successful. This experience will help me become a better producer in the future because I will understand both the creative and human side of filmmaking.
Even though we have not started filming yet, I already feel like I am growing. This preparation stage has taught me patience, determination, and the importance of believing in my dreams. I look forward to when the cameras finally start rolling, knowing that every step I take now is preparing me for the future I hope to achieve.
