Compound Effects: Little Progress Over Time Negates Luck. - 2wks ago

Compounding effects negates luck.

In every area of life, your work ethic makes it impossible to fail at a point.

Savings and investing little over a year will have small visible results compared to someone who did same over thirty years.

For instance Warren Buffett  in 2020 was worth 84 billion dollars with 81.4 coming after he turned 50. Same man started serious investing at age 10.

Disney had it's fair share of compounding failure after failure. Until it's big break with Snow white and the seven dwarfs.

You want to build a library you start with a book. You want to build your wealth, you save and invest. You want to write a book start with the first page.

Just like someone who goes to the gym may not see improvement during the first 4 weeks. And on week five you notice massive changes, The changes started with your first rep with a dumbbell or your first bench press.

The results had to compound over time before they became visible.
