Sani, a young graduate, was stuck. His family expected him to be the breadwinner, but job interviews were as elusive as a Nigerian politician's promise. His little sister, Aisha, dreamed of going to school, but Sani's pockets were as dry as the Sahara.

One day, his long-lost friend Ibrahim reappeared, equally jobless and equally desperate. Over a plate of garri and egusi soup, Ibrahim proposed a "business idea": robbing Alhaji Bash, the mysterious millionaire with an unknown source of wealth.

"It's just a loan, Sani," Ibrahim assured. "We'll return it with compensation once we start our own business." Sani hesitated, but Ibrahim's persistence wore him down.

On the night of the heist, they snuck into Alhaji Bash's mansion, but things quickly went awry. Unbeknownst to them, it was a sacrificial day for a secret cult, and Ibrahim became the unintended sacrifice.

In the chaos, Sani stumbled upon the cult's leader, who offered him a "membership deal": join the cult and get rich beyond his wildest dreams. Sani, still in shock, agreed.

The next morning, Sani woke up to find his bank account overflowing with cash. He paid off the "loan" from the heist and sponsored Aisha's education. But his newfound wealth came with a curse. He couldn't shake off the guilt and nightmares of that fateful night. Every time he looked at his bank balance, he saw Ibrahim's face.

Sani became notorious for his extravagant spending, but his smile was as fake as a Nollywood actor's accent. He'd pay for his lavish lifestyle with the constant reminder of Ibrahim's sacrifice.

Aisha would ask, "Brother, why so glum?" Sani would reply with a deadpan tone, "Just paying the price for being a successful cultist, sis." The irony wasn't lost on him – he'd traded his soul for success.

As Sani navigated his new life, the darkness of his past lingered, a constant reminder that his wealth was built on blood and sacrifice. His story served as a twisted cautionary tale: be careful what you wish for, and beware the cost of getting rich quick.
