CELEBRATE THE LITTLE WINS - 3 days ago

Let's Play a Little Game
Raise one hand and put up five fingers.
Take a finger down if you've ever looked at someone and wished you were them.
Take a finger down if you've ever looked at yourself and felt like you weren't measuring up.
Take a finger down if you've ever compared yourself to someone else.
Take a finger down if you've ever looked down on your own achievements.
Take a finger down if you've ever felt too small.
So, tell me—how many fingers do you have left?
The truth is, most of us are guilty of this.
We look at other people, then we look at ourselves, and before we know it, we're comparing journeys. Social media doesn't help either. We see people's highlights and begin to think we're standing still while everyone else is moving ahead.
But growth doesn't always look big.
Sometimes, it's only when you look back that you realize how far you've come.
Celebrate your little wins. They don't have to be massive.
You bought that hair clip you've always wanted? Celebrate it.
You moved into a new apartment? Celebrate it.
You earned your degree? Celebrate it.
You finished a course? Celebrate it.
You finally signed up for that fashion design class? Celebrate it.
Congratulate yourself because, sometimes, you're the first person who needs to hear, "I'm proud of you."
Tell yourself you're doing well.
Don't let anyone make you think less of yourself. Appreciate those little wins because, in the end, they are what make up the bigger picture.
Once you learn to appreciate them, you'll realize that you're actually growing.
You're not stagnant, my love.
Don't let anybody convince you otherwise.
You are winning.
You are growing.
And you are making waves.
It doesn't have to be loud. It doesn't have to make headlines.
You're still making waves.
