Family, hey family it's a good time to talk, and I want to talk about something on my mind although the topic I will be discussing is relatable to all of us, I feel very few of us has the in-depth understanding to phantom the whole concept and what it entails.
I will be speaking to you on the topic of "CHALLENGES" or as I would like to put it, “circumstantial challenges”. As inevitable as challenges can be I want you to know something, which is; Challenges serves as a correctional pointing rod towards area of negligence. I give you a movie example. The movie “WITH DIFFICULTY COMES EASE” shows a descriptive and pictorial example of how challenges serves as a guiding block towards a specific area of ignorance or unawareness. The movie was directed and written by Korede Azeez, a narrative where grief, cultural expectations, and faith combines to shape a story of resilience and self-rediscovery.
At its core, the film follows Zainab, a widow navigating the strict social and emotional expectations placed upon her after the death of her husband.
The narrative is structured around the idea that struggle is not merely an obstacle but a necessary stage in personal transformation. Rather than portraying suffering as meaningless, the movie frames it as a catalyst that refines character, deepens awareness, and ultimately produces wisdom.
To me the film works on two levels. On the surface, it tells a story of characters navigating difficult circumstances emotional, social, or existential. Beneath that, it presents a deeper argument: ease is meaningful only when contrasted with difficulty. Without adversity, comfort becomes invisible..
And also accolades to the producer Sheriff Akinola Bakare, whose work helped translate the script into a compelling cinematic experience.
Until we meet again dear family
