The Federal Capital Territory Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has decorated 402 officers recently promoted across various ranks, marking a significant milestone in their careers. The ceremony, held in Abuja, drew senior officers, families, and stakeholders who gathered to celebrate the achievements and dedication of the promoted personnel within the Corps.

Addressing the officers, the FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, described the new ranks as more than symbols of elevation, urging recipients to see them as a renewed call to duty. He emphasized professionalism, discipline, and integrity, stressing that promotion comes with higher expectations and greater accountability in safeguarding critical national assets and protecting lives and property in the FCT.

Odumosu further charged the officers to rededicate themselves to public service, teamwork, and continuous capacity building, noting the evolving security challenges in the nation’s capital. He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to welfare, training, and merit-based advancement, while encouraging the newly decorated officers to justify the confidence reposed in them through exemplary conduct and improved service delivery.
