Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has officially begun her attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for cooking the world's largest pot of jollof rice.
The record-breaking cook aims to prepare 250 bags of rice in a specially constructed 22,619-litre pot, capable of feeding around 10,000 people.

The event, held at Eko Hotels in Lagos, drew thousands of fans and supporters, showcasing not only Hilda's culinary skills but also African cuisine, culture, and unity.
Before the cooking commenced, Hilda and her mother shared a heartfelt moment of prayer, seeking divine strength, protection, and endurance for the challenge.

With Guinness World Records wishing her luck, Hilda Baci is set to make history and promote African cuisine globally. The event has generated significant interest, with over 20,000 people registering to attend
