The next day, we (all the women in the compound) assembled at our caretaker's veranda.

My mom knocked on the door, and she answered from inside her room, and then she came out.

We all greeted her. Then she answered: good morning my children. This one that you guys came to visit me today, is everything okay?

Yes ma, everything is fine. We came to apologize to you, for all the offences and disrespect that we've lashed out on you lately. We are deeply sorry ma, my mom responded.

Let that stupid mummy Ebube open her mouth and talk, our caretaker responded. (Mummy Ebube was pissed, but she had to shove it off and apologize, considering the fact that our caretaker is a tyrant, and she wouldn't like to be at the receiving end.)
I'm sorry for all the disrespect I've lashed out on you lately, please forgive me, mummy Ebube stated.
