Over the years, I’ve come to realize that love presents itself in different forms and degrees. For some, love has been a source of pain and regret; for others, it has brought happiness and a newfound hope that propels them toward life’s purpose.

Personally, I consider love the most beautiful and real feeling that exists. It is found in the smallest gestures and the grandest moments, shaping who we are.

The truth is—you never love the same way twice. No one gives the same pieces of themselves to everyone. Some people will see a side of you that others never will. Some will peel away your layers, revealing your deepest vulnerabilities. Others will fortify the walls you’ve built, teaching you the necessity of distance.

I once read about a Korean man who grew up in a house where love was a foreign language. He swore he would never marry why repeat the cycle of hurt? But then, he met someone who showed him love in its purest form. It was not grand gestures or whispered promises, but a steady presence, a quiet understanding that thawed years of coldness. Love found him, even when he had closed the door.

Each love leaves an authentic mark, a lesson learned, a truth revealed. Some loves teach you to trust again; others remind you why you built walls in the first place. Some make you feel seen, while others make you question if you exist at all. But the most important love the one that truly sets you free is the love that teaches you to see yourself.

Every love shapes us into someone new, someone closer to who we are meant to become. So, let love teach you, let it break you, but also let it set you free. The more you give, the more you learn, uncovering the layers of your own heart. Every love, every loss, every lesson, they are all part of your becoming.

As I sit on my balcony, the evening breeze teasing the pages of my journal, I realize something: love, in all its forms, is a teacher. It breaks, shapes, and rebuilds us. And while every love leaves a mark, the greatest love I have found the one that makes me whole, is the love of Jesus. In Him, I am seen. In Him, I exist.
