I believe everyone has one or two talents that God has given them. However, identifying those talents is the real challenge. Many of us find it difficult, and it’s not entirely our fault. Often, it stems from various factors that influenced the development of our brains.

That said, this isn’t where I’m heading. Critical thinking is very important in everything we do. The ability to think critically about an issue, case, task, or situation is truly a blessing. I won’t claim to possess this skill fully because whenever I try, it feels like there’s a safe locked up in my head that’s hard to open — even though I know the ideas
are right there inside.

Many people can instantly come up with solutions through critical thinking, and I would say it’s a gift from Allah, because not everyone can do that. For me, it sometimes takes days to arrive at a solution. I already know the problem clearly, but finding viable solutions is where I struggle. This occasionally makes me look like an “olodo,” which I clearly am not. Everyone has their own place or sector where they can excel with ease.

All of this boils down to understanding one’s SWOT. Knowing your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats opens doors for you. Instead of dwelling too long on your weaknesses, you can focus on finding solutions elsewhere.
