In Fighting Evil, take Care Not To Become One - 2wks ago

I write this in response to this new wave of feminisms fight against Misogyny being Misandry. I’m going to start by saying that I firmly believe that ‘Two wrongs can never make a right’.

I Recall when ‘hating men ‘started as a joke online with various trends and memes coming up about it(I myself reposted and liked some of the memes). At the time, the trend was about de-centering male influence in women’s lives .But now that trend has bloomed in something violent/hostile

A trend that is now slowly become the new face of feminism.

Writing this article doesn’t mean I’m trying to diminish the years of suffering that women have endured because of Misogyny.I will always acknowledge that and never negate/ diminish it’s influence.

My concern is that when did it become acceptable or ‘cool’ in a way for a woman to be a Misandrist,When did it become our defense/fight against misogyny.

It’s doesn’t make sense that we are replacing one violence with another.

By doing this we are committing the same violence we sought to abolish which isn’t JUSTICE .It just results to a never ending cycle of gender violence that will go on and on which will cause more harm than good for both sides

As Friedrich Nietzsche’s warned

“He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you.”

This line means to me personally that when  you fight evil you have to be careful not to adopt the same cruel, violent, harmful and selfish behavior as them.

I don’t align with the faction of feminism that supports misandry,I support the feminism that advocates for women to receive their due diligence, be given equal rights and opportunities socially, institutionally and morally.
