Three recent performances sketch the player City believe they are buying. Against Liga de Quito in the Libertadores, he was the classic winger, delivering a decisive cross and winning a penalty with a slaloming run. Versus Flamengo, he drifted inside from the right, overloading midfield, scoring and dictating a 3-0 win.
