It's exam week, and it's been tough. I've been revising for exams, and Simi has been making an effort to put me through because my attention has been diverted to Minari the whole semester. Despite the challenges, I'm trying to maintain my good grades. We hadn't seen each other since exams began, but we planned to meet up afterward.

On Tuesday, after a difficult paper, I was taking a quick nap in the hostel when my phone buzzed. It was Minari, sounding unwell. He asked me to come over urgently. I quickly got dressed and rushed to his place.

To my surprise, Minari was fine; nothing was wrong. He held my hand, expressing how much he missed me and wanted to see my face. Although I was upset about the sudden summons, I had missed him too. We started cuddling, he smelled like cigarettes then I noticed hard drugs on his table. I was shocked, as he had never mentioned anything about drugs before.

When I asked him, he claimed they belonged to his friend Caleb. Confused and shocked I tried to leave, but Minari grabbed my hair, pushed me onto the bed, and started hitting me violently continuously, I tried to stop him but he didn't stop. I had never seen him like this, to me this is a completely different person than I used to know.
