Chapter 3: Captured and Confronted
Kael's training and preparation led to his first major test: a daring raid on Xarath's armory. The rebels aimed to steal vital weapons and supplies, weakening the sorcerer-king's grip on Azura. Kael, accompanied by Maya and a small team, infiltrated the armory under the cover of night.
Their mission was a success, but as they escaped, Kael was captured by Xarath's soldiers. The sorcerer-king himself appeared, his eyes blazing with fury and magic. Xarath offered Kael a cruel choice: betray the rebels and join his forces or face execution.
Kael refused, his defiance unwavering even in the face of death. Xarath's soldiers dragged him away, throwing him into the dark, damp dungeons beneath the stronghold. The sorcerer-king's parting words still echoed in Kael's mind: "You will soon beg for mercy, rebel."
In the dungeons, Kael found himself in the company of other rebels, all imprisoned and awaiting their fate. One of them, a mysterious figure named Arin, seemed different from the others. Arin's eyes held a secret, and Kael sensed that this enigmatic prisoner might hold the key to his survival – and the rebellion's success.
