Chelsea FC star Raheem Sterling found himself in a life or death situation when a gang of masked burglars brazenly invaded his Berkshire home on a Saturday night. Just moments before he was set to watch his beloved team take on Wolves, the 30 year old former Manchester City winger became a real life superhero.
Reports claim that around five intruders stormed the property between 6:30 PM and 7 PM, but little did they know that Sterling was inside, ready to spring into action. Sources reveal that upon hearing the ruckus upstairs, Sterling, a devoted family man, put his partner, Paige Milian, and their two young sons, Thiago (8) and Thai Cruz (6), first. With a knife in hand, he bravely confronted the burglars.
“He grabbed a knife out of a block in the kitchen and went to confront the intruders,” the source disclosed. The gangsters, realizing they were up against a football icon, hastily fled the scene, leaving their ill gotten plans in shambles!
Interestingly, the burglars had apparently presumed Sterling would be off at Stamford Bridge for the match. Instead, they were met with this twist of fate, as Sterling remained part of the club's so called “bomb squad” a term for players not chosen for the game.
This shocking incident isn’t an isolated one for Sterling. It’s the third time in just seven years that he has been the target of audacious break ins, following similar traumatic experiences at his homes in Surrey and Cheshire. A spokesperson confirmed the unsettling invasion, expressing gratitude that Sterling and his family emerged physically safe, although the emotional impact was significant. “While the invasion was a complete violation of privacy and safety, we are relieved to confirm that they are safe,” the spokesperson stated, adding a plea for privacy during this distressing time.
Thames Valley Police are now on the case, urging anyone with information to come forward, while Chelsea FC rallies around Sterling and his family, offering support during this tumultuous period.
Adding to the drama, Sterling faced a similar peril in December 2022 when his residence in Cobham was burglarized during the World Cup in Qatar, resulting in the theft of over £300,000 worth of jewelry and luxury watches. That incident was tied to the notorious Emiliano Krosi, who was sentenced to 33 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary involving stolen items valued at over £1.1 million. At that time, Sterling was reportedly “shaken” and “concerned for the well-being of his children.”
The relentless targeting of Sterling raises alarming questions about the safety and privacy of celebrities and their families.
