Di Lagos State High Court for Osborne, Ikoyi, order say make dem pause all proceedings for di inquest go until dem finish to hear judicial review case wey dey challenge whether di coroner court even get right to continue di matter.

Justice A.O. Opesanwo give di order after Eurapharma Care Services Nigeria Limited, wey dey run Euracare Hospital for Victoria Island, apply ex parte motion through dia lawyers, led by SAN Prof. Taiwo Osipitan.

Di hospital dey argue say di coroner court no suppose continue di inquest again because di body of di child bin already don cremate before di coroner matter properly start, so dem say evidence no dey complete again.

Dem also challenge di order wey force di hospital to open dia defence first and call witnesses, especially since allegations of medical negligence don already enter di matter.

Di hospital ask court make dem quash some earlier coroner decisions from January, February, and April 2026, and also stop di inquest completely.

Justice Opesanwo talk say di case get serious legal issues wey need full hearing, so e grant leave for judicial review and also order say everything for di coroner court make e pause for now.

Di court also tell di hospital make dem file dia full case within 14 days and serve all parties involved.
