The Women African Football Cup of Nations (WAFCON) competition 2025 is underway, with the first half of the quarter-finals knockout stage played on Friday, 18th July, 2025. 

The Super Falcons of Nigeria shone brilliantly in a 5 to nil win against the Zambia Copper Queens. The match elicited a show of absolute dominance and denoted the "9ja spirit" as the falcons kept going for more.

Goals from Ohale, Okonkwo and Ihezuo sealed the victory in the first half. Only for  Demehin's strike and a die-minute stunner from Ijamilusi to completely oust the Zambia queens from the competition. 

Congratulations to the Super Falcons of Nigeria as they advance into the final 4 stage of the competition. Hopefully, their dominance will continue to  the end of the tournament.
