Courage without Fear?

Courage without fear? Is there anything like that?

Let's find out, people hate fear, because it shakes the foundation of their existence. They pray for courage because courage is necessary to survive trying times. As much as there's little truth in this, it's not entirely true.

Courage and fear are like conjoined twins. They're like the two faces of a coin. There's no courage without fear and there is also no fear without courage. They both can't exist without the other.

A perfect example is the fuel and fire. Fire can't burn without fuel; fuel must be consumed to provide energy through chemical reactions. Between fear and courage, one must serve as fuel to each other.

A soldier in the battlefield knows he's not in Disneyland. Every part of him wants him to leave that killing zone because he's afraid of his life; but still he stays there fuelling his courage with his fear for he understands that his fear of death cannot eclipse his sense of duty.

Napoleon Bonaparte said, “Courage is moving on when there's no strength left.” So my dear reader, for courage to shine, it must pass through a furnace of fear. Don't let fear paralyze your thinking. Don't reach for the sky for it should be your starting point: rather find enough courage to reach for the stars far above the world so high and use your fear of failure to fuel your courage.
