Episode 16
It was the tradition of Umuoma village, that any maiden that publicly embarrasses her suitor on the proposed traditional wedding day, by not showing up, just like Amanda did, that maiden will be stripped completely naked, then the Umuada, that's the village women, will tie a piece of white cloth around her, just like a wrapper, to cover her nakedness, and they'll loose her hair and scatter it, like that of a mad woman, to significant that she's a woman with little or no value, it means that her dignity has been lost, then she will be flogged and mocked as they escort her around the village, after that, her both hands will be tied a rope, and the rope will be tied to a car, so, as the car is moving slowly, it'll be dragging her too on the road to create bruises on her body, and after that, they'll dig a grave for her and bury her alive, and that will be her end.
Amanda had to pass through all that torture, and at the end, she was buried alive.
(3 days later) there was this fierce thunder in Umuoma village, and that fierce thunder broke open Amanda's grave, the God of the right of a woman really came through for Amanda, and she was brought out of the grave, with no single bruise on her body, like her body was fresher than ever, and the entire village, her parents, her father, and Nnanna and his father all allowed her to marry the love of her life Ejike.
(Presently) Amanda, in a gathering with other young ladies in her village.
