Here is the rewritten story:

"What has happened has happened, we have to tell the children the truth," Alhaji insisted.

"No, you will do no such thing. That child is mine, and I don't care what you two have done. You can go ahead and eat yourself," Mahasin retorted.

"I agree with my friend Mahasin. I gave her Khaulat and promised never to take her away, and I will do no such thing," Fanana added.

Munnir and Khaulat, who had been waiting outside, decided to go inside. The room was tense, and everyone was standing.

"Amma, what's going on?" Khaulat asked, holding her mother's arms.

"Khaulat, promise me you will never leave me," Mahasin said, her voice trembling.

"Amma, tell me what's wrong. Abba, what happened?" Khaulat asked, looking at her father.

"I'm sorry, Khaulat. I made a mistake in my past, a huge one, but I never regret having you," Alhaji said, his eyes filled with regret.

Munnir stared at his mother, searching for answers. "Munnir, you and Khaulat cannot marry each other," Mahasin said.

"Why, Mom?" Munnir asked.

"What you guys have for each other is a sibling bond, not a lover's bond," Mahasin explained.

"Munnir, Mom, we get to decide that, right?" Khaulat asked.

"No, you don't. You, Munnir and Khaulat, are biological siblings," Mahasin revealed.

Khaulat felt dizzy and fell to the ground. Munnir placed his hands on his head, trembling. "No, no, no, no. This is not possible, Mom. How could you do this to us?"

"I'm sorry, Munnir. It's all Alhaji's fault," Mahasin said, tears streaming down her face.

Khaulat was rushed to the hospital, her blood pressure soaring. "We are doomed, Amma. I'm sorry. I betrayed you too," Khaulat said, her voice weak.

"What did you do, darling? It's not your fault. You didn't plan to not be my daughter," Mahasin said, holding Khaulat's hand.

"No, Amma. I hope it's not what I'm thinking. Amma, we thought we were going to get married, and we love each other so much," Khaulat said, her eyes filled with tears.

Fanana looked at her son, confused. "What are they talking about, Munnir?"

Munnir bowed his head in shame. "We went out to take ice cream, and suddenly there was a heavy downpour. We became wet, and she went into my room to find a shirt to change. I brought her hot tea, and I was shirtless too. Suddenly, I felt a burning desire. I just wanted to kiss her, and that was all, but the heat was beyond my control, and we went on kissing until we found ourselves naked and in each other's arms."

Khaulat interrupted, "But we thought that since we love each other, we will marry, and it will be nothing. What you guys did is more disgusting – incest. We didn't know this would happen. Besides, if our mother were to be absent, we would have still married each other, and it would have been the same."

Fanana covered her mouth in horror. "Khaulat, are you pregnant?"

"No, Aunty, I'm not. It only happened once, and we didn't want to continue. It was a mistake."

Alhaji left the room, his eyes filled with pain. "I guess this is my true punishment. It's all I deserve."

Mahasin's voice was laced with venom. "You are just like your mother. You have proven to be a fruit of her seed and your father. You really came from his loins. If you couldn't betray me, then you couldn't be their daughter. You all deserve each other. I will never forgive all of you. You ruined my life. You hurt me so deeply and broke a part of me that can never be fixed."
