We profess a world of unity and harmony,
Composed in songs, written in books,
Carried about on our foreheads,
But what we profess has no place in our hearts,
We claim to love one another; outwardly,
But reverse is the case inwardly,
Our ancestors' legacy is marred by irreversible errors,
How can unity, peace, prosperity, abound where there is no love?
Shall we follow in the footsteps of those who came before ?
Are we to fold our arms and watch strangers make mockery of us?
Are we to continue in a world where evil sits as Lord in the hearts of men?
Today we listen to promises, promises that never see the light of the day,
O generation, awake and clear the scales off your eyes,
It's time to put the past behind and face what is ahead of us,
Mending the paths with love and understanding,
Putting away our differences in all phases,
Looking and working out a generation where corruption is a band word; insurgency out of place,
A generation where everyone has no doubt about anyone,
O generation erase the bad writings on the wall, with unity write out a new song
Let the generation to come take up the good work and work with it.
