Who she is…

Nkechi Isaac is the founder and publisher of Science Nigeria, a media platform dedicated to explaining scientific development in an accessible way so the public can better understand how science affects society. 

Nkechi, is also known for translating complex scientific ideas into stories that are easy to understand, enabling an informed  public discussion in science policy and innovation in Nigeria. She is passionate about science communication whilst changing the narrative through strategic communication. She also mentors young journalists and facilitates science communication training.

She is also a member of the Professional bodies such as the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Nigerian Association of Science Journalists (NASJ), and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)

Nkechi has been recognised for her journalistic excellence. In 2024 she won the Best Reporter of the Year Award for agricultural biotechnology reporting at the Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology (OFAB) Nigeria Media Awards.
