“Ordinary bone straight you can't afford. What am I even doing with a broke man like you? You can't even maintain me. Look at your mates out there buying their babes wigs, bags, everything they need. And here you are, unable to afford common bone straight. You're here raising your shoulders that you're a man. Shame on you.

“I am done with this prison called a relationship. I am off to a better guy who will take care of me.”

He bowed his head in shame as she walked out of the room. His heart was torn into pieces.

As if that wasn't enough, he looked through the window and saw an exotic car waiting outside. A man came down from the car and helped her pack her belongings into the car.

He was completely shattered.

We live in a society where material things have become the order of the day. You are considered rich by the number of cars you drive, the clothes you wear and the amount of money you bring to the table.

This pressure has led many young men to their Waterloo.

They hear demeaning remarks from women. They see other young men who seem to be doing better than them. They begin to feel like they are falling behind, and before they know it, they start considering shady deals just to meet up with society's expectations.

A young man is considered broke simply because he cannot meet the expectations of someone who believes that a man must provide everything.

And this is where the problem begins.

This generation needs a mental reset.

Do not let anyone make you feel less of yourself because you cannot afford what someone else can afford. Your worth is not determined by the car you drive, the bag you buy, or how much money you can spend on someone.

And please, do not put your hands into shady deals just because you are trying to meet up with a certain standard.

That decision could cost you your freedom.

It could cost you your future.

It could even cost you your life.

The person who pressured you into doing it will eventually have nothing to lose.

So, use your head.

Wise up.

You don't have to destroy yourself trying to prove that you are a man.
