“I don’t know him well either, yet I can tell he’s a cool guy… but, not to worry, I got you covered,” he assured me. I didn’t understand but I thought it was best to trust him. And I did trust him, while hoping the help would turn out to be great.
After changing into different outfits and walking in front of Conner who scrutinized our walking steps and standing postures, we were hungry and Conner allowed us to go have lunch.
We settled to eat our lunch of veggie stir-fry with chicken over brown rice. Conner watched us intensely while we ate.
“You eat to fast!” he corrected Theo, patting his back, and Theo slowed down a little.
“Don’t bend over the table like that, sit straight,” he mumbled as he helped Theo sit properly.
“You don’t slurp your drink or water, you take a gentle sip.” He corrected him again and I felt bad for him, even his countenance changed. I knew he was getting upset and I hoped inside me that Conner would not find anything to correct in him again. But it was not so.
“You are rushing the food again and you are bending,” Conner observed again after a few minutes and Theo dropped his cutleries on the dining table noisily, in frustration
“It’s only the first day and you are already frustrating me.” He blurted with food in his mouth
“You don’t talk with food in your mouth, it’s unethical.” Conner rebuked again, getting Theo more upset
