Dear Future Me,
I don't know where you are as you read this.
Maybe life has turned out even better than you imagined. Maybe you're living the dreams that once kept you awake at night.
Or maybe you're going through another difficult season, wondering how you'll make it through.
Either way, I hope you remember a few things.
I hope you remember the version of you that kept going, even when no one noticed.
The one who smiled while carrying burdens too heavy to explain.
The one who doubted, cried, failed, started over, and still found the courage to try again.
Don't forget that person.
I hope you remember the people who stood by you when you had nothing to offer but hope. Success has a funny way of introducing us to new faces, but never let it erase the ones who believed in you before the victories arrived.
I hope you remember that happiness was never found only in big achievements.
It was in laughing until your stomach hurt.
In sharing meals with people you love.
In quiet evenings when your mind was finally at peace.
In unexpected phone calls.
In watching the rain through a window.
Those ordinary moments were never ordinary. They were life happening.
I hope you don't become so busy chasing the next goal that you forget to celebrate how far you've already come.
There was a time when everything you have now was something you prayed for.
And if life hasn't gone the way you hoped, remember this too:
You have survived every difficult chapter before this one.
You have always found a way to keep moving.
Trust yourself one more time.
Most of all, I hope you never lose your kindness.
The world will always give you reasons to become harder, colder, and more guarded.
Choose kindness anyway.
One day, people may not remember every achievement or title you earned, but they'll remember how you made them feel.
So wherever you are, I hope you're still laughing.
Still dreaming.
Still learning.
Still grateful.
And still becoming someone your younger self would be proud of.
With love,
The person you're becoming today.
