ALL EYES ON US📖BIBLE TEXT: ISAIAH 40:1-5🔎📖 Isaiah 40:5 “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”In 1996, Tupac released his hit album titled All Eyes On Me. It made him the greatest hip hop rapper and an envy among his peers and an idol of the young people for decades. Interestingly, today I talk about him and young people ask, who is Tupac? For how long were ‘all eyes on him’? The returnees from exile met a ravaged land that promised nothing spectacular. However, God promised a glorious visitation on them and all eyes would see it. The promise still stands for us as children of God. Some eyes may see us here, but all eyes will see us in eternity! Hallelujah!👉🏽 ALL EYES ON JESUS NOWMark 3:13 “He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach.”Luke 4:20 “Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him.”Though the disciples spread the gospel with the fire of Pentecost, the average church member today does not even know their names. When Jesus read the scroll in the temple, all eyes were on Him. We have not been called to seek the stage lights of the world for fame but for His name. The eyes of the world are upon us as living epistles to share the Goodnews we carry for a broken world. So when the lame man looked at Peter and John, Peter said, such as we have we give to you. Our calling is for all eyes to see Him in our actions and reactions. Sometimes, He brings us to the limelight. When He does, we point men to Him. However most times we labour with neither recognition nor appreciation because we seek a place and a time beyond here when all eyes shall be on us in eternity.👉🏽 ALL EYES ON US THERERevelation 21:13 “The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”The new Jerusalem which shall be revealed in eternity will have twelve foundations bearing the names of the Apostles for all eyes to see! They were scorned and obscured here, but they will be appreciated and decorated there. This is our hope too as we keep showing forth Jesus for the world to see! Though we are unpopular and uncelebrated here, remember that very soon this world shall pass away and we shall step into eternity when and where all eyes shall see us gloriously displayed.
